Hey!

I'm a 2009 graduate of Berklee College of Music, where I studied Music Synthesis. In the spring of that year, the Berklee faculty awarded me the Robert Moog Award. I've been playing piano since I was six, and writing music since I was twelve. My musical influences include Frank Zappa, Soft Machine, Brian Eno, Francis Lai and J Dilla.

I primarily create music under the moniker Aardvark Chekhov. I like really long songs that evolve over time, vocal harmony and cohesive albums. I DJ'ed for a few years at Boston's WRBB, and worked for a while as a lab monitor at Berklee's Turntable Lab. Most of the time I sequence in Logic Studio, and edit/mix in Pro Tools.

I'm almost violently enthusiastic about video games. My current favorites are Fallout 3, Shadow of the Colossus, Braid, Mother 3, Digidrive, and Deadly Premonition. When I'm not working on music, I'm programming in Max/MSP/Jitter, cultivating an interest in microbrewing, or watching Mystery Science Theater 3000.
